RedPDF is a free online PDF editor built for one thing: letting you edit, merge, annotate and convert PDF files quickly, without creating an account and without uploading anything to a server. Every tool on this page — the text editor, the comment and annotation tool, the page merger and remover, the PDF compressor and the PDF/JPG converter — runs entirely inside your own browser using your device's own processing power. That means your contracts, ID scans, reports and personal documents stay exactly where they started: on your device.
Most "free" PDF tools online quietly upload your file to a remote server to do the actual work, then delete it later — or not. RedPDF works differently. When you drop a PDF into the tool, it's decoded and rendered locally using the open-source PDF.js and pdf-lib engines running in JavaScript. Adding text, placing a comment, merging in a second file, reordering pages or compressing images all happen in memory on your own computer or phone, and the finished file is written back out and handed to you as a normal download — nothing is ever sent anywhere.
